Jeff Wall Production

Jeff Wall Production is an artistic brand initiated by Pierre Bal-Blanc (b. 1965, France), taking its title from his first project dedicated to the artist Jeff Wall in 1988. Bal-Blanc’s projects construct conceptual and performative narratives without relying on conventional exhibition formats, instead weaving scores, essays, and live actions into a singular, rhythmic force. Exploring themes such as collective embodiment, institutional critique, and the politics of visibility, Jeff Wall Production creates a dynamic unity between historical reflection and contemporary experiment. Bal-Blanc’s pioneering methodologies position him as a pivotal figure at the intersection of exhibition-making and performance poetics, evoking criticality, intimacy, and an almost choreographic sense of time.

Pierre Bal-Blanc lives and works between Paris and Athens. His projects have been presented at institutions including documenta 14, Athens and Kassel; Tate Modern, London; the Palais de Tokyo, Paris; and MoMA Warsaw.
