Knut Åsdam (b. 1968, Trondheim, Norway) is an artist and filmmaker working across moving image, photography, architecture, installation, sound, sculpture and drawing. His practice investigates the intersection of urban transformation, subjectivity, and the politics of space. Through hybrid narratives and spatial constructions, Åsdam examines questions of desire, displacement, and everyday performance in the contemporary city. His films are characterized by their psychological atmosphere and formal experimentation

Knut Åsdam lives and works in Oslo. His work has been exhibited at Tate Modern (London), MoMA (New York), Bergen Kunsthall, and the Venice Biennale among others, and is held in public collections including the Tate (UK), National Museum (Oslo) and Kunstmuseum Bern.
