Stavanger Secession is a cross-disciplinary platform connecting art, cinema, and architecture. Founded in 2023, it returns each year to examine secessionism, the founding act of every avant-garde.
It is structured around a main Exhibition, a Live program of talks, performances, and screenings, and a City Project, a program of artistic interventions presented throughout the city, extending beyond each edition. At its core, the project addresses risk, ambiguity, and aesthetic experimentation from the perspective of Stavanger and the Rogaland region on the west coast of Norway.
